Apart from the big red flag of appearing, to post a single message selling something, it is somewhat of a limitation if you are restricting a sale to local people only... Why post on an international forum, where 99.9999....% of people do not meet your criteria? I think you have more chance if you walk up and down the road shouting "camera for sale!". Just sayin'...

I wouldn't worry about it .... though I would suggest Kristi to post a picture of the camera's plate showing the serial number.
Easy enough to match the numbers on the service ticket and one could call CPS and verify if the camera was in on that date for service plus I would bet they would verify the first name of the person who sent.
Probably just fine to purchase and the price is right for that low of a shutter count. Local only? Others have done the same, no big deal. I just sold my 5D MIII a week ago, cost me over $35 to ship, insure and track with signature requirement. I get it, if you can sell local why not.
Thank You for your advice Beercat.

Would you be interested in shipping to Sacramento if I paid for the shipping?
I will say...this camera is almost brand new. I took it to Canon because I'm a CPS member so it was free to get a shutter count and a maintenance check. Anyone can say low shutter count but I know I would want to see this in writing to show proof. If you are serious then how would you pay. I could take a check and cash it at your bank, then I know were good! I'm just a little leery after putting something on craigslists.
I would pay by check...Bank of America and add the shipping if you give me a total...
Someone in this reply quoted $35 for shipping and insurance. If its less I could refund the difference. The total would be $1,600 + $35 If this works for you, let me know and I'll send you my address. (my email is: steinhoffgsd@earthink.net)

$35 will be close for staying in the state of Cali. for shipping priority, insured, tracking and a required signature from the buyer.
Thank You Beercat....good to know!
