...even though I shoot with high ISO settings alot, I don't use the auto function. That leaves too much to the camera, IMO. Like, if you're shooting a low light situation and *want* to expose to the left...well, with auto ISO you really can't. I'll always take a test shot or two, set my ISO, then move on. I want to control the noise in my shot. Do I *ever* use the auto ISO capability? Well, not really (I know it's there and if a use ever pops up, I'm on it) but the exposure range corrections, at least when I'm shooting RAW, will be handled in my post production 99.9% of the time.
