I enjoy spending time wandering the mountains of western NC. Here are a few pics taken over the years, in that area. Try double download. Critiques welcome.

Magnificent mother nature. Love waterfalls, especially when blurred. Beautiful photos.

The third one down looks like you have a frog with his tongue out bottom center. Didn't know they grew frogs that big in western NC.

Do you happen to know what kind of plant that is in front of Looking Glass Falls? Nice texture in your shots.

Thanks, cameraf4. Actually, I don't know what type of native/wild plant it was. I walked down the steps from the top road, down toward the falls, looking for a good vantage point where my tripod would be stable. At first, I was annoyed that the stems/flowers were in the way. I finally realized that it added a feeling of "belonging" to the image. I was merely a passing visitor....they were 'born' there....they lived there... it was their home 24/7.....after all, it was their view too.

(Sorry about the anthropomorphic thoughts.)
