We took a little drive to Killman Zoo, a somewhat local big cat facility. I tried a little more post-processing than my usual "one step smart auto fix" offered in PaintShop Pro x9! lol I think I overdid it a bit in the close-up (and when enlarged, I can also see a few errors with my attempt) but overall, I was happy with the results and it has encouraged me to develop my editing skills.

These are excellent photos. And they capture the true essence of the male lion. For me with post processing, I do not seek perfection but merely continual Improvement.

Very nice, we all have our own ideas on what a photo should look like, if you like it it's right. I don't see what you might think is over done, they are both excellent.

Thanks very much, Jerry! I feel I overdid the saturation on the 2nd one, making the lion a little too orange, in my opinion. You're right though, each photo is subjective...glad you liked them!
