If you can't see the difference, you are part of the problem

I guess I'm part of the problem, although I don't know what "problem" you are talking about. I was part of the steelworkers union and was part of management in a couple of different fortune 500 companies. I wish each was loyal to the working person with a desire to satisfy the customer. With rare exception, neither is true although labor and management give lip service to loyalty and satisfying the customer. They both are corrupt with their own internal politics. One thing I know for a fact, without companies there are no jobs and without workers there are no companies. I wish everybody would realize the adversarial attitude is far worse than counterproductive. The steel plant I worked at closed because the non-union mini-mills handed us our heads. Right now I am happy companies are coming back to the US after years of leaving and unemployment is at an all time low so the middle class is growing for the first time in years.
Never was a union man. So we are different. You have your opinion, I have mine. Thatβs the American way.
You said it far better than me.
A few years back I was FORCED to join the SEIU union. I was not happy with their political and anti-Semitic views and strategies. I resented them taking money each week out of my paycheck to be represented by a strong arming, management favoring, two faced entity. I am glad I retired and away from their BS.

Thank a union.
A union cost me a very good job one time when I was very young. Never joined one after.

As far as cars go. Shoddy workmanship (UAW) is the reason foreign cars have made inroads.
If you are a citizen of the United States of America, you ARE a union member!

I spent my working life as a member of a very strong union. While I didn't like everything they negotiated away over the years, the result of it is that now, in retirement, I have a decent income and a very good, lifelong medical plan that covers me, my wife and my two grandsons until they are 26. Unions may not be perfect, but they are the best the workforce can hope for. Big business cares very little about its workers.
