Hi, I have been lurking for a while, just absorbing knowledge and looking at pretty pictures. This is a wonderful site. Anyway, I have just got back into serious photography. (I mean not just snap shots, learning about manual settings etc.) I am taking classes for a photo certificate at our local college, University of Southern Alabama. I have a Nikon D60 that I got about ten years ago.
I am 56, I graduated from California State University Sacrament more years ago then I like to think about. I've lived in southern Alabama about 20 years, in a small town north of Mobile. I work with developmentally delayed adults at Mobile Arc. I’m really glad to be here and to meet all of you wonderful people,
Welcome, and keep on clicking.
Welcome to the forum post pictures ask questions and most of all have fun.Saying hello from Pittsburgh.
Welcome to the Hog. Happy shooting
Welcome to UHH Betty, glad you finally joined us. Have visited in and around Mobile many times.
Have fun, learn and enjoy the forum.

Welcome.
Thank you for working with the special needs people. Two of the schools I taught at had large Special Ed departments and I saw a lot of main streamed students.
My 26 year old step son (I have known him since he was 6.) is cognitively impaired. On a good day he can reason like a 5 year old. It can be a great challenge since he has 26 years of memories, vocabulary etc being processed by a 5 year old's reasoning powers and judgement.

Hello, welcome to UHH.

Welcome Betty! I too live and work with developmentally challenged individuals in a rather unique setting: Camphill Village, Upstate NY. Looking forward to seeing your photos.
