I often wonder when I'm taking a landscape photo "Hmm, wonder what this would look like in 1 to hours from now." But for the sake of convenience, I snap the photo as it is then move on and forget all about coming back for the same shot when the sun angle has changed. Maybe sometime I'll learn that one really good shot is worth 100 mediocre ones and expend the extra effort to get the one really good shot.
Your shot is very good but I wonder what it would be like a little later when the sun angle is lower.
I get what you're saying. I've wondered those ideas as well. For example, now these cacti are taller and they put a wooden fence around them because people were damaging them. Go figure, right? I'm happy to have captured this one. Perfect setting....
