I came across these mushrooms in my back yard.

Nice capture of the colors and details on those mushrooms.

Really like them, esp the last one. I think the backgrounds are distracting; perhaps desaturate their colors.
Deep browns and contrasting whites in #1, great job of taking photo of something literally in back yard..
Thank you for all your comments.
Here's another one with a very muted background...

A matter of taste, but I prefer this one.
Nice series. I also prefer the one with the muted background as it emphasizes the intricate lines of the mushrooms. It's especially inspiring to me that you used a kit lens and got these results. I have the D5600 that came with that same lens and it usually stays on my camera.
From what I've read and been told you can eat them, but they don't taste all that good.
Bobcat87, the kit lens is a lot better than most folks think, I'm always surprised by how sharp the images are from this lens.

Most mushrooms with fins on the bottom (rather than a sponge-like texture) are poisonous in some degree, and most with bright red tops are also poisonous. I would just admire these, not try to eat them.
