Does anyone miss the aluminum film cans for a roll of 35mm film that had a screw on cap and there was a sheet of instructions with it in the box?
I used them to keep small treasures in them, didn't keep any though over the years of world travel.
Just reminiscing.

Yep, same here. Still have a bunch rolling around somewhere.
Got Tri-X in a couple on my kitchen table right now! :)
I’ve got a few boxes of unused Tri-X and Kodachrome. The “cans” were nice for saving small things.

Strange! This subject reminds me of the time my dad came home from hunting and discovered a neighbor burying something in a tin can (Clabber Girl baking powder?). Dad unearthed the can and counted the money inside the can and replaced it back. Next time he met "JOE" he brought up the subject of telling his fortune. Dad described the location and amount in the can and it earned him "the man who could tell fortunes."
I do miss those cans and the instructions as well.
The cans were nice.
Miss the printing paper boxes too.
Loved the 500 sheet boxes. So handy.
I've quite a few of them. However, as of late, the containers are plastic with snap caps. I'm fine with either ones. I've 100 cassettes and 100 film containers purchased brand new and use those these days.

I do remember back in the day (when I was a teen) we kept our pot stash in plastic film containers :)
I use the plastic drug prescription bottles in lieu of the film cans. I affix labels to the bottles with clear packing tape. I put AA batteries in them and also my vitamin pills.

Same here. Those cans were just perfect for storing and carrying your cleaned pot. Water tight. We even called the pot 'film', the pipe was the 'camera' and the bowl was the 'lens'. Of course the faster the 'film' the better the final pictures were. And we took a lot of those pictures. This was way back in the early 1970s. Stairway to Heaven was a big hit on the radio. I still kinda miss those days.

Yep!
I still have one in YELLOW with KODAK embossed on it.
There is a very faint smell of "something" in there.

Yes these simple aluminum cans. I will never forget just how useful they were. Storing the pot was just ONE excellent use. Another was for things that went BOOM!!! Worked very well but they HAD to be metal. The newer plastic ones would never do.
