Anyone know what kind of spider this is?

This spider is over 2 inches long front (top?) legs to back. Does anyone happen to know what it is? Can I just smack it? Or should I call pest control? It looks like it is sitting on (or guarding?) something.
Anyway, It should not stay in the corner of my kitchen.

Taken with Sony A9 and 100-400mm lens at 400mm from about 2 feet away from the front of the lens. On a small Benro tripod.

It doesn't look as big from farther away, but it is as large as one section of the egg carton.

Mystery Spider and prey? or egg sac?

Yes, It is as large as an egg is across.

Looks like an egg sack so get excited about more of these spiders arriving in the many corners of your house

I believe the common name is "wolf spider".

In my house, the only good spider is a dead one. I can't think of a good logical reason for god putting them on earth.
He who made the earth & all powerful, cocked up with spiders.

It is a wolf spider. It is carrying a "to go" meal. Their egg sacs are white, round, & 3 times the size of what it's carrying. They are creepy, but do eat a lot of other bugs. I always encourage them not to come inside and, if they do, to remain out of sight. They are fast!

UGH! I super-hate spiders and this one gave me the willies. Why I even clicked on the post is beyond me because spiders creep me out. lol. But for some reason I had to look. I just posted a macro of a spider wrapping up a bee for his lunch and just taking that shot was bad enough. Your spider is way bigger and uglier. Kill it now. Yeah, I know spiders are beneficial and eat bugs. But I'd rather have the other bugs.

I think I'd escort it outside where it belongs.

Yep, a Wolf Spider, these things grow to a huge size...we had one on our front verandah, so big that from a distance we thought it was a bird. No. I'm not joking...it was standing right up on its "toes"...it had several hundred spiderlings on its back and when it ran into the wall, most of them fell off and went in all directions...

Spiders do not find a friend in me! Ick! When I find a spider indoors, it's usually one of these guys. Good shot of him!
