I took this image of the Devil's Bowl in 1997 with film using one of my TLRs (probably my Mamiya 330). It is in a State Park north of Grand Marais on the North Shore of Lake Superior. Wife and I are headed back up there tomorrow morning and am really looking forward to seeing this area again. Probably won't see this particular falls because it requires walking up and down literally hundreds of stairs to get there. Could do that in 1979, don't think so today. There's plenty else to see on the North Shore tho.
Nice! We plan on a vacation there next year, but, like you, can't do that many stairs. Looking forward to exploring the area.

Thanks BlueMore, I think you will enjoy it. We're staying at the Bluefin Bay Inn in Tofte, a very beautiful area.

Thanks Marion. I need to get busy, haven't even started to work on the spring event photos yet, I want to have them done by the Fall 2-Day.

Beautiful, and interesting! Thanks for sharing.
A nice photo Jack. I’m a life long resident of Minnesota and have been to the North Shore (Duluth to Canada) many times in the last 74 years. It is a far better coast to photograph than the "rocky coast of Maine." It has many more places to pull over for a quick shot and LOTS of parks, scenic, views, waterfalls et. Many of these beautiful spots are
right on the highway and some require hiking.
Excellent work, Jack! Enjoy your trip and post some results when you get back.
