The Nikon D5300 is the absolute best camera for the money you could have picked. I hope you also got the 18-140 kit lens that is available with it. This combination is a really great way to re enter photography. You should watch a few you tube videos and get the Dummies book or the Field Guide to the D5300 ,Both on Amazon.
