What is the pay for a new recruit?

I didn't see any new pay tables. When you find the tables, they are meaningless for married personnel and dependents as far as determining income. Depends on rank and location.
A well deserved pay raise -- wish it were more for our military men and women.

Then you know that the vast majority are not in danger, but that is for an Attic thread.

Not in danger? Law enforcement are in danger every moment thanks to the political party out of power. The military are in danger in countries that had a real boost with the party out of power and by the homemade crazies that came into their own with the party out of power. I have been there and lived it and yelled at and pushed by some real patriots. It is only this past 5 years on Veteran's Day that I have been thanked for service and I think it is because I live in the South. 2.,6% raise is an insult to what our Service men and women do and our law enforcement does. My 2 cents

Save it for the Attic please.
This post was meant to be a little notice that a raise had actually been signed into law.
This thread was started in Chit-Chat, but became so horrible that Admin moved it to the Attic. Wow.

Hardly keeps pace with inflation, not a big deal, we spend far too much money from the military budget on contractors. $700 billion and our enemies are catching up to us as far as military strength, of course we are also paying for leasing bases and deployments all over the world. There is something very wrong with military spending, there needs to be audits.
American cost of living running at 2.7 per cent PA at the moment so you need a rise to keep up
