Portland Head Light, is a historic lighthouse in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. The light station sits on a head of land at the entrance of the primary shipping channel into Portland Harbor, which is within Casco Bay in the Gulf of Maine. WHich do you prefer, color or B&W?

Tough choice. It is an excellent photo - well composed with a balanced feel. The processing is very well done in both versions. My personal preference is color but I think the B&W is also very appealing.

I like both, the bw brings out more contrast in the clouds, etc.

I prefer color but it might have been helped by a polarizer.

B&W is my choice but I'm a biased B&W guy from the 50s;Both are good shots; Would be an interesting location for IR

The black and white conversion brings out the good definition.

I actually had a polarizer filter on for this shot. I shot in RAW format and also added a haze filter in post-processing. I think the impact of the polarizer shows up more in the B&W. Thank you for looking and for your insightful comment.

Both are quite nice with the color version winning by a nose for me.
