I stumbled on to this site doing some research into legacy lenses for mirror-less cameras. I am very pleased that I did.
I got into photography while abroad with the US Army in the early 1970's. I bought my first cameras and some kit at PX's. I could afford it then as most stuff was deeply discounted. I was interested in photographing the things I saw and the people I encountered.
I drifted away from photography as other life priorities limited by resources. I kept my gear though.
My Son gave me a hardly used mirror-less camera a few months ago as he and his wife were not using it much.
I was taken back at the capabilities of the camera. I was most pleased when I found that I could adapt my old manual lenses to the digital body. And...that is how I got to this site.
I relearned to look at things as a photographer!
I, too, bought my first 35mm while in the Army overseas from the PX. Welcome to the site. As a fairly new-to-DSLR photography, this site is wonderful and has helped me tremendously.
Your photo is beautiful.
Again, welcome, and thank you for your service.

There are plenty of adapters. What body and lenses do you have?
Welcome to the Hog, very good posts.
I have a Samsung NX300 body and 10 Petri (bayonet mount) lenses. They adapted very well to the sensor body. I am able to use M, A, S and P modes with the legacy lenses.

Great! Who makes your adapter?
I found one on e-bay mfg' by, (had to look it up), RareAdapters. It works well and is tight.

Just looked at their store. Man, do they adapt some rare lenses! Neither Samsung nor Petri are very common brands.
I have a Micro 4/3 Camera. I elected not to adapt my old Nikon, Canon, and Minolta glass. But I may have to reconsider...
I find much joy in using my old favorite lenses. They do deliver an "older coated glass" look.
Fortunately I still have my 52mm filter set.
