My little Buddy and shadow. He is an inside cat so when he goes outside I sit with him as he has no survival skills. He is looking up into one of our trees at the humming birds at the feeder.
He was sitting on the lawn which I did not like in the photo. I pasted a couple grunge textures and ran him through topaz a couple times and painted his eyes and nose at about 30% back.
Hope you enjoy him.
Cheers ron
Very nice. There is a lot of soul in those eyes.
Buddy looks like a sweet heart! I really like your processing, too. The background is very complimentary.

Thank you fellow cat person.
He is a sweet little cat and not a mean bone in his body.
I have another tom and it is a Bengal and he is not so sweet so he is mostly the outside cat.
http://www.vetstreet.com/cats/bengalMine is marked almost exactly like this one on the web page.

Cool. So you can apply Topaz to just the top layer if you want. I had not thought of then when using Photoshop as a host program for Topaz! Or is there a way of "painting" the Topaz effect off if you want? Learn something new with PP every day.

Yes you can work in layers and actually apply topaz with a different style on different layers and then blend them by reducing the opacity slider on any picture layer. You can merge up into a new layer. It’s really called stamping. Just go to the top layer hold the alt key create a new layer and while holding the alt key go to layers at the top and merge visible and you have merged all layers up and all layers are still active under Neath. I always keep the original layer locked and then turn off all layers except stamped and put a mask on that layer and paint back some detail , in the case of the cat it was his eyes and nose.
I used masks on all layers and paint back on the mask with a low opacity brush to get back some of the original detail. ON this image I had about 7 layers.

Thanks for stopping by Carl; both of my cats are male. The Bengal is very aggressive. So he stays outside a lot, He also kills a lot of rats, mice, and birds when he gets lucky.
I have posted a picture of him having a bad day.
Cheers ron
