Splendid. I would submit "Dracula" to Aviation Week's photo contest.

Excellent! You look like you were up in the air with them shooting at eye level.

Fantastic shots, but have living on an Air Force training base during WWII, the correct nomenclature of what you call the T6 Texan is AT6. Many of them lost to trainees. I can't recall the nomenclature of the Navy version, but wasn't T6. I also recall planes like the P38 and the auto gyro. And as far as electronics go, I was fascinated by the spark gap transmitter. But with the end of WWII, my stepfather was out of a job (he was on the crash crew) and we had to move.

I think it was the Harvard...or maybe that was the RAF's name for it.

Thank you Greg! It took me more than a week, actually nearly 2 full weeks to edit on a daily part-time basis. Hopefully, you're getting closer to being done than being started. The 2018 images are a simplified workflow based entirely on Lightroom were previously I first did a RAW conversion in Canon's software. I still ended up with a lot of tweeks to the WhiteBalance. I still had lots of images (now culled) where I wondered what I or the camera thought I was focusing on.

To misquote Brittany Spears, Oops, you did it again - it's Gary, not Greg :) I haven't thought about white balance adjustment in my pics. Some are underexposed and som eoverexposed. Sometimes I shot RAW and sometimes JPG. I've never tried Lightroom either. My go-to is PSE 12, though I'm thinking of upgrading. Of the images I still have (not thrown away or haven't decided what to do) I still have 4,025 images from Oshkosh '18. I did get two of my pics from OSH '17 autographed, though, which was pretty neat...My April 9th-week Picture of the Week (AvWeb - Team Aeroshell) and a banana photo pass of Kirby Chambliss in his Red Bull plane.

Thank you Bill, although, the resolution is set to 1600px on the long side. At some point, they may not fill your ever larger screen.

Apologies Gary, not sure how my eyes and fingers became disconnected. I saw your upgrade question. You're kind of stuck nowadays with choices of a subscription or for standalone software. I use PSE 11, but only for adding text or shapes to images. My edit software is exclusively Lightroom, staying put at the final standalone LR6. If you're still at 4k images, I suggest a much harder look. You'll never find the good ones to spend time editing while the wheat is still mixed with the chaff.

Thank you Jeff! I've wondered too about the perspective as I was seated directly on the ground for nearly every images along the flight line during the airshows.

The images are sized to fill your wide-screen display. Try using <F11> to maximize your browser window for the full effect. If the images overshoot your display, such as a laptop, just click on the image or the URL link and they'll resize to your screen from the host Flickr site. You can click a bit further into the image details on the Flickr page, if desired. EXIF data is available from the host Flickr pages as well. On the Flickr site, use your <L>key for Large and the <F11> for the full-screen.

All I can say is WOW. I started going to EAA when they moved their Fly In to Oshkosh some 48 years ago. And except for some years in the 1980s and 1990s when I missed because of a conflicting family event I have probably been there over 100 times - I live about 25 miles from Wittman Field and so it was easy to leave work an hour or two early just to catch the air show in addition to all day Saturday and Sunday visits. One of my fondest memories is seeing the great radio commentator Paul Harvey when he spoke. I am not a pilot and my main reason for going was to take pictures. One year EAA even granted me a press pass. But of all the pictures that I took and others that I have seen I must say that yours are easily the best I have seen. I am looking forward to going thru your Flickr account and enjoying your other work. Thanks for sharing.
