Hi all. I'm Erik, a Colorado resident and hobbyist photographer. I like taking landscape and wildlife photographs but am branching more into model and portrait photography with the intent of working into photography as a part-time retirement job (after I retire in 10 years or so, heh). I'm probably most interested in night photography and have been doing a fair amount of that in the last year or so. The attached picture is the kind of scene I like shooting at night, and I've played with some fun compositions this summer.
In terms of gear, I'm shooting Canon, primarily on a T7i and an M50. Looking to move to full frame in the next year or two and am going to rent some gear to decide if I want to stick with Canon or add a Sony mirrorless full-frame to the mix.
Looking forward to reading more on the forum and getting to know people.
Nice shot.
Have you played around with light painting?
Thanks, tradio. I do some light painting but like a very low constant light instead of a quick, hard light. The picture I posted is actually light painted. I wanted everything to look relatively natural, so I tried to go pretty subtle with it.
I uploaded a fairly large image (2000 px on the long side), but it washed out a little bit when the forum made it smaller. Is there a trick to uploading something at a particular size to not have it processed?
Welcome to the forum. Thanks for sharing a photo.
Welcome to the forum Erik.
