I have seen these in my travels and think what a great shot it would be but seldom stop to take the shot. Congratulations for finding and getting the shot. A very nice picture showing its had a history.

Thanks so much Bob! I love this old box which is still in use!
This shot takes me down an old country road on a late summer afternoon! Lovely photo and a pleasant experience.
Very rural looking.Nice capture.
Excellent texture and coloration, your photo tells a story of a time long gone. The postman would bring to your door the peeping box of chickens hatchlings, ordered from the Sears Robuck catalog.
Good subject matter and great photo!
Nice one. Maybe I shouldn't keep painting mine every few years. : )

Nice freeze frame of pass rural communication, though such a simple presentation, it brought the joy of new birth, the excitement of love letters and invitations and also the heartbreak sorrow of bereavement, it doesn't seem fair that this onetime point of excitement has been delegated to the lowly term of Snail Mail!
