When it comes to digital video cameras look at what the professionals use! Do you see them carrying around Canon our Nikon Digital Professional Cameras No. They are using Sony Professional Camera Equipment. This shows that Sony only makes the best Camera Equipment that only the professionals use. Like tv reports, film makers and film producers. So now who has the best Camera Equipment?

Never bashed Cannon Sir I don’t shoot Cannon where did I bash it? I was talking about the superior Sony mirrorless camera systems compared to the Cannon mirrorless system. What is the Cannon mirrorless system your talking about?Does Cannon even have a Full Frame mirrorless camera available now? The only thing agreeable is the fantastic AF system Cannon has. The best available! Do you own an A77ii, a9 or an A7 Riii camera? Ever shoot Sony? I’d love to see where you got your info about better picture quality? If you don’t own or shoot Sony why bash em? Sony is so far ahead of Cannon in the mirrorless field it will take them years to catch up if they ever can. That’s just the reality of the situation! Good Luck with Cannon! I also think Cannon is Great but won’t comment on something I don’t know about. How bout you?

Wow bnsf you got some Sony! I own the a77ii, 100mkii and the Sony RX10 iv. It’s funny how brand dependent some folks are especially Cannon and Nikon users. They hate to think that another company, especially Sony, might make a substantially better camera! I find it amusing especially if they never owned or used a high end Sony mirrorless camera. Every non-biased review I’ve read put the Sony systems way ahead of Cannon. Nikon is rarely mentioned.

I am planning on selling my Sony a77m2, Vello vertical grip 3 batteries and 2 Sony APS-C lenses 28-55, 55-300. Both with UV Filters and Polaring Filters. Since l have the a99m2 l have not used this camera in a few years. Also have a cheap Polaroid tripod l am giving away with the Camera. Also have a Book by Busch on the Sony Alpha a77m2 Camera. The complete manual charger and cables all come with it as it came from the factory. Sorry no boxes. If anybody is interested get back to me in a private message. I would like too get around $800 for everything. I have it all in a camera case also.
Thanks.

Has anyone used either of these wonderful lenses? I have a mint copy of the original Minolta 100mm on my Sony A77 ii and cannot believe the image quality of this old (1986?) lens! I also use the Beer Can for macro work which also produces amazing images. I read that Minolta made their own glass for these lenses. Can’t decide which lens is better for Macro photography. Thoughts?

I have the newer Sony 100mm macro f2.8 and the 70-210mm Minolta. both are great lenses for macro. The sharpness on both is very close to the same. If the shot is still I usually go to the Sony 100mm. If there are moving insects involved I choose the Minolta 70-210mm to keep from scaring them. At times I use a small extension tube on the Minolta. Below are pics taken with those lenses. The moth was taken with the Minolta and the flower with the Sony.

Beautiful pics Thanks! How much did you pay for the Sony 100mm? I know the Minolta 100 is available on eBay. That’s where I bought mine but paid around $350 a few years ago. It’s completely Mint! I got lucky as they can be moldy and have issues due to age. I think when Sony people realize the awesomeness of this Minolta lens everyone will buy one and save hundreds over the same branded Sony! I do agree the Minolta 70-210 f4 Macro is nearly as good. And it’s just Cool!

I have the A77II. Have the Tokina 100 IF macro - but rarely use it. I prefer the Minolta 70-210 f3.5-4.5 with 12mm extension tube especially for live subjects. Paid $48 for the 70-210 and $35 for the tube.

BTW, I had a beer can and was not that impressed ....

The Sony cost me $799.99. I bought it about 3 years ago. The Minolta if I remember correctly cost me about 80 bucks. For the difference in price the quality and sharpness isn't really any better. The Sony does have, A non-rotating focus ring, a circular aperture, focus hold button and focus range limiter, and it uses the camera image stabilization and takes advantage of both TTL and ADI. Other than that the Minolta performs just as well.
