...and got these pictures in the entryway. I use my old Nikon D3100 with a 18 105 Vr lens. # 04 got a little blurry.

These pictures would have been better if you had stopped down. I didn't check all of them, but the ones that I did check were at f/5.6 which is probably wide open for this lens. If you had stopped down to something like f/16 you'd have more depth of field so that the pictures would be sharp from the front to the rear of the flowers. Also, the red flowers are over saturated. In other words, they are so red, that you lose the detail in the flowers. This might be corrected by using a different picture style. I'm not familiar enough with your camera to know what picture style to use, but if you used Landscape, that might be one to increase reds and maybe by trying some of the other pic styles you might see more detail in reds.
