Okay, all of these were taken if different settings, manual, A, S, etc. Just testing my wings. Sat down this afternoon and went through a lot of my online manual. Learned a lot of things I did not know my camera was capable of doing. Be gentle! lol
probably need a little more light on this one
I realize I have too much light on this one
These look out of focus
Too dark, but taken at the same setting the Rose of Sharon was only in different lighting in the yard
I like the way this one looks!
different setting than the last pic of this same flower
Do not have a clue here. Too dark and grainy looking
I like this one!
experimenting with "vivid"
Can't figure out what this one needs???
I was pleased with this one.
Can't believe I went for it these next three pics. Normally I would stick it on auto
These were taken towards the sun, but that is the only way I could get them
last one he flew into the neighbors yard. Too dark of setting
Some of them turned out very nice while others do need work. It actually would be better to tell you what was right/wrong if you did not post so many, if that is what you were wanting. Also, when you 'choose file' select the 'store original' so your meta data can be looked at.

Thanks for all the tips! I will remember about the store original. Not sure how that works, but will do!

First of all - APPLAUSE! You went off manual! I did this 2 months ago and have not looked back. Keep looking at others photos here and take their shots as examples. Keep practicing and there are some great tutorials on line to help with lighting, dof, exposure, etc. Shoot and show. They will teach.
Congratulations!

Keep going it will all work out. Are you using spot focus, IMO best for wildlife. Zero in on the eyes... There are some good subject matter here.

No, I didn't think of using a flash, since it was two in the afternoon, and believe it or not the sun was shining! I have taken some pretty good pictures on auto, but would like to get off of auto, if you know what I mean!

Are you a birder? If so, have you checked out Circle B in Lakeland? Just curious! My family lives in Winter Haven and Lakeland. When I visit, I also visit Circle B and Lake Howard Nature Park. They are two of my favorite places.

Well, my wife said why don't you just pitch a tent at Circle B- I said I would but it's not allowed-yet... We live just around the corner from the Lake Howard Park. Not an actual birder but BIF's are my target. (Birds in Flight)
