I would love to be able to say that this is a surprise, but I can't. It is, however, a travesty, a sad day indeed, when we allow non-citizens to dictate the course of our country.

Well, my friend, voting for school board membership hardly dictates the course of our country, does it?

These people have school-age children, and should care about the public schools those children attend.

Well, I just did.

“This is no-brainer legislation,” Hillary Ronen, a San Francisco supervisor, told the Chronicle. “Why would we not want our parents invested in the education of their children?”

These people are here illegally and should not be able to vote.

What do you think Mexico would say if Texans went across the border and tried to vote? If you let illegal aliens vote for this, where does it end?

The local citizens voted to give these people the right to vote is school board elections.

If Mexico voted to allow Texans to vote in School Board elections, I suppose Mexico wouldn’t say a thing when Texans so voted.

"These people"? Who do you mean? Illegal Immigrants? They don't belong here and should not have ANY say in who runs anything.

As far as the course of our country, IF you don't think that education isn't the ground floor for the future of our country, you need to go back to school.

The fact remains these people are here illegally and should not have any say in our society.
