I took this photo at the Venice Rookery and there is a shadow on it that I am unable to remove.

My camera is the Sony RX10 M4.

I use LR and tried the clone and heaing brushes for removal with little success.

I am grateful for any help.

I am unable to upload the ARW file.

I used the clone and heal tool in Faststone. It's a free program and has nice features for fast edits.

I know that kpmac has done a good job already but I wanted to do this for fun, nice shot btw. I used Photoshop and I am pretty certain that you have the same tools in Lightroom, I am not very familiar with Lightroom although I have the subscription I have always just used Photoshop.

Anyway, I selected the gray area of the bird and then inversed the selection so that only the blue area near the bird would be effected by my editing, I then used the clone tool setting an appropriate size to the tool and also setting the hardness at or near 0 so that it would blend well. Then you just have to be careful where you select your clone to come from so that the tonal quality remains the same and that you are not adding objects. After I removed the blurred blade of grass I did a little work inside the bird itself using similar technique but a much smaller brush as the work there was a little more detailed.
