I'm trying to learn how to capture and post process my data , the heat and humidity makes it hard to image in this
"Boil", the pool helps cool me down but, does nothing to speed the camera cooler along in this heat. These have been called my "lifesavers, cereal and donuts". Trying to improve them skills but, I feel overwhelmed at times and the sky hasn't been in my favor. I don't understand why my star count has dropped off in rgb. Help , if you can? I've spent 2 weeks on M81 , 82, and this , still not 100% satisfied but, it's a start.

Well, you are a head of me Ronnie.
My stuff is still packed in the RV from being at the Daughters house for 40 days.
It never got dark there while I was awake. And I couldn't see the sky for all the trees.

So... are you using filters? I don't ever worry about star counts. I figure if I get my subject then I'm doing good.
For me, the ring nebula comes in a blue color.

I get my coordinates from astrobin for plate solve and I see m57, every color of the rainbow Sonny . Hubbles color images are blueish and I'll try to get some more blue channel and I use Meade filters which aren't the best but, they're not that bad. Then again a new set of filters is on my wish list. Better luck next trip to see your Daughter. I ha great guiding on a star around Vega but , that was with my 2x- 3x barlow from planetary setup and not my coma corrector , gotta get that balance right with the coma corrector now!
