Sure sounds like hate speech to me.

Somebody get that guy a milk shake. He needs to chill out.

Pure hate!! This guy needs more than a milkshake. He needs few shots of Jack Daniels to calm him down!! Just another liberal guy who thinks anyone who does not agree with him is a moron. Well, in this case we know who the moron is. He made that clear as soon as he started talking.
quote=MisterWilson How about the rant of this rad... (show quote)

Conservatives believe that anyone who does not agree with them is not only a moron but a socialist communist.
quote=jpintn quote=MisterWilson How about the ra... (show quote)

Seriously??? Did you not look at the link above??? That is a LIBERAL who is having a meltdown and calling anyone who doesn't agree with him a moron! He is an extreme left wing radical, and an excellent example of how the liberal mind works!
quote=Kalskag2 quote=jpintn quote=MisterWilson ... (show quote)

I have a liberal mind - would you care or dare show me how it works?
quote=dtcracer quote=Kalskag2 quote=jpintn quo... (show quote)

Did you look at the above article? It is commensurate with the attitude that the liberals on this site display on a daily basis.
quote=docrob quote=dtcracer quote=Kalskag2 quo... (show quote)

As a person with a liberal mind I am not interested in being stereotyped, pigeon - holed, lumped into a group or merely overlooked as an individual. So, that said, please tell me how my mind works.
quote=dtcracer quote=docrob quote=dtcracer quo... (show quote)

But it is ok for a liberal to do the same to a conservative? Sounds like a set of double standards to me.
quote=docrob quote=dtcracer quote=docrob quote... (show quote)

No, it's not. Now tell me how mind works.
quote=dtcracer quote=docrob quote=dtcracer quo... (show quote)

Simple. 180 degrees of common sense.

I don't agree with what the guy said to the employee. She handles the situation very well. Personally I don't think the guy was "attacking " the employee, he was simply expressing his misguided opinion. He didn't threaten her or curse. in my opinion he shouldn't be fired for that.

Much to do about nothing.

Now the rant from the radio host who ever he was is another story, if a conservative went off like that they would blast on the national news proclaiming all conservatives are bigots. The real bigots are on the left not the right!

There are bigots on both sides. Definition of bigot: intolerant person: somebody with strong opinions, especially on politics, religion, or ethnicity, who refuses to accept different views. Seems to me, there are more racists, homophobes, anti-Muslims, anti-immigrants, etc. on the right than the left, but the fact is that bigots exist on both sides.

[quote=pigpen]First of all, it's the liberals who call anyone who doesn't agree with them idiots.

You're making this up. You must be a Limbaugh fan; haven't you ever heard him call people idiots?

Not certain what point you're trying to make, docrob, but clearly no one can know what's in the mind of others. Having said that, gotta say your redundant question kinda sounds like the old "I know you are but what am I?" It's clear to me there's way too much rancor coming from both the right and the left. Oh, and before anyone chooses sides, I detest an abundance of the nonsense being spouted by both sides. Case in point, this discussion. No decent person should be able to agree with the now unemployeed gentleman, yet look at all the right-hemisphere name calling it brings out. We need to all grow up and that totally includes me!
Not certain what point you're trying to make, docr... (show quote)

Point I am making is that it's easy to stereotype others, it's easy to lump all liberals or all conservatives into groups and then simply refer to that group as if - key phrase "as if" all people in said groups think the same - are the same......My point is that if you have to relate to me as an individual - and vice versa - than I cannot simply stereotype you and neither can I be stereotyped by you (editorial you).

But that's exactly what we do - what the media does - Stereotype and group......it's easier to dehumanize and if we have learned anything about war and killing is that it's helpful to think of the "enemy" as less than human...........so my point is see me as an individual and I will see you in equal light.....

You, sir, are right. I apologize for offending you. Perhaps I should have thought my statement through a little more thoroughly before posting.

He was fired for recording and posting his message. Nobody said that he did anything illegal. He asked for it.

This whole thing is so stupid. The owner of Chick-fil-A did not say anything bad about anyone. (check what he actually said) He only said he personally believes that mariage should refer to the historical religious description of the union of a man and a woman. That is his right. He has no record of discrimination against anybody including gays. I believe the same way, so hate me if you want. All other such unions should be civil and legal.

Maybe I'm seeing this wrong but the Chic-Fil-A owner was being interviewed on the radio, on a show about religion. He voiced his personal opinion about gay marriage. That in itself did not start the "firestorm". Everyone must agree that he had the right to express his personal opinion just as we all do here daily as guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. I don't believe any of the media picked up on it at this point.

Next, the mayors of several cities, Chicago, Boston and San Francisco made public statements that essentially challenged Chic-Fil-A to not attempt to build in their cities as permits, etc would not be issued because of his feelings about gay marraige. This would be obvious discrimination and illegal. This is what gave the controversy legs.

Hannity issued the challenge on his FOX show that all should support Chic-Fil-A by trading there on Wendnesday. Kind of a reverse boycott, if you will. This was because of the mayor's statements. There even was a video of a news crew who didn't want to cover the crowd at one Chic-Fil-A because it was in support and not against.

Then the supporters of gay marraige countered by scheduling the Kiss-In in front of Chic-Fil-A resturants.

There is obviously two sides to the gay marraige issue.There has been name calling on both sides, which accomplishes nothing except elevating tempers and the liklelyhood some one will act out.

The CFO that was fired was the least important part of this. What he did was not cool. Picking on the employee was his misdirected anger at the owner. I'm sure his boss did not appreciate the negative that was cast upon his company when the bully was identified and was able to fire him.

IMHO, the people that should have been fired, impeached, or removed from office are the mayors who let a political issue anger them to the point that they would publicly come out and threaten illegal action against a company that they can so no wrong doing!!

Did the media give the attention to the mayors? No they concentrated on people buying chicken sandwiches and kissing in front of the resturant.

Obviously the guy on the radio has the right to speak his opinion, Personally, I found him to be uninformed and ignorant of the issues.

I agree. It's all blown out of proportion the people who started the fire, the mayor of boston and other places should be in the hot seat and not the owner of Chic Fill-a

I wonder what his life's going to be like on Unemployment Insurance?

Hmmm, CFO paycheck for last week was $2k, Unemployment Insurance will be $425.

I guess being a loudmouth Adam Henry really sucks!
