Really like the second shot.
Both are excellent images and although the second one does not show the red door I like the perspective better than in the first image.
The first looks like it could be still lived in. But when I looked at the second one, I saw that it's not likely that anyone still lives there. Nice work.
I appreciate your comments, each and every one. Thanks.
I first saw this house twenty-odd years ago. It has remained unchanged from that time, but the GMC pick-up was added maybe ten years ago. It hasn't moved since.
Nice pictures. Farm house look like it build was build around 1910+ or-. If that old farm house could talk, what a story it would have.
Sure looks like it would have been a nice place to live. As always, subjects like this invoke so many questions. Photographically, this is a nicely treated subject, as usual.

I love these kind of shots...
Great shots. What amazes me is the craftmanship that these houses were built with. Even with neglect they are still standing. I really like the porch on the first shot.

The porch is indeed nicely detailed, but it isn't common (out here) to see the patterned cedar shake 'siding' above the porch roof, especially on a place out in the countryside. There's another place --also deserted and decaying-- a mile or two away that's slightly more ornate --and that I'd not only like to shoot from outside, but from inside as well--, but its located such that I don't want to just tromp out to it without first getting permission. Keep meaning to knock on a few doors to get some sort of 'go ahead and go.' Without that, if I went and the law showed up I'd be fine, but the within-sight locals are just as likely to shoot first and call the law afterward.
Very nice. Job well done.
