It's a nice shot, what kind of bird, is the red on the wing natural?

Page 284 of Sibley Birds West (field guide) shows this to be Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, the red above the wing may just be some kinda of reflection or as the book refers to a bright pink under wing. A great capture.

I believe it's a cross between a Labberdoodle and a Redshoulderdtanbellied long tailed sap syphoner .....GREAT capture!

Thanks, UT - I tried and tried to get him in a tree. No luck.

Scissor-tailed flycatcher. And yes, the red is natural - at least during breeding season. Thanks for looking in.

Thanks, unlucky. I don't have my western guide handy
but the eastern appears to show a little red near the shoulder. I had to look real close. There was nothing above him so I don't think it was reflection.
