Why the Humming Bird Feeder is empty all the time...
caught this guy getting his full on the Humming Bird feeder...
You need a bigger feeder!

At least you aren't feeding the bears too. Nice shot.
Here in Arizona, in addition to the gila woodpeckers hitting the feeders, we have migratory bats that drain the feeders nightly.
http://www.hummingbirdmarket.com/hummingbird_tips_bats.html Its amazing to watch them at night. There will be many of them; hitting the feeder briefly then circling around to hit it again. They will keep at it until the feeder is empty. The wood peckers are very light eaters compared to the bats.
