Thanks, dancers. We're all conveniently expendable, except perhaps Madame P. She's one of a kind, lol. Nor does she act without long-term strategic planning. So her apparent throwing over of poor Chopper in favor of this young interloper is a calculated move. Count on it. And don't count Chopper out...

Thanks for the advice and your visit, it's much appreciated!

Thanks, Corky. I thought this one worked better when painted a bit, let the viewer concentrate on the emotion rather than the particulars of the scene. Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks as always for your kind comment and visit, it's very much appreciated!

Madame P has long proclaimed that no one could ever replace Chopper, her Peruvian Piranha Dog, as numero uno in her affections. They've practically been joined at the hip for years.

But let's examine the facts-- Chopper's getting on. His youthful good looks have faded, and we don't see him in her arms as much as we used to, do we? Madame P was even spotted at last Saturday night's big hamster fight without him, claimed he wasn't feeling well. Uh-huh. I saw him at dinner, he looked and acted perfectly fine, ate like a horse. Not feeling well? Hah!

And while a certain little someone is presented with a new toy almost daily, when's the last time poor Chopper had a new collar and leash? Or anything more than a cursory pat on the head? Answer me that!

Not to mention there's a peculiar daydreamy kind of smile on the lady's face with a certain little someone in her lap when she thinks no one is watching. And that same lady flushes and acts all embarrassed when I happen to catch her singing to that certain little someone. I can't remember the last time I heard her singing to Chopper...

No question, there's something going on. But is this just a casual fling, or something more serious?

Thanks, Bob. It would seem you're right--in for a penny, in for a pound. She's in love, what can you do.

I accompanied him to one of the town watering holes last night, and in between jello shots, Chopper said he's become like a pair of comfortable but worn-out old shoes--only taken out to be used in the rain and mud, never for dress. I don't remember much else about the evening, including where we went, what we did, or when we got back to the Ministry. We apparently took a taxi home. First time I've ever driven one, and it's still sitting in the Ministry parking lot.

Thanks for stopping by and your astute comments, always very much appreciated!

Thank you, Marty. I thought a bit of painting would help this one, give a little more focus on the emotional aspect rather than the figures themselves. Glad you liked it.

Thanks as always for the positive comments and your visit, it's greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Jack. There's an old saying--'Hell hath no fury like a Chopper scorned.' I think that's how it went...

But wouldn't surprise me at all to see a nip or two on Madame P's ankles.

Time will tell...

Thanks for the laugh and your visit, always very much appreciated!

Sounds like there may be some real trouble brewing there. I really do like the expression on her face. Randy, you are such a great story teller. You should write a book, or have you already?

Who wouldn't love Dexter. It sure doesn't take a kitten long to steal your heart.
