Great shots. I went through a b&w phase. I got over it. I would have liked these better in color. Color shows life.
My old doctor's family was totally wiped out the hitler's ss. I even have propogatda page from the ss;s telling the people how hitler is saving them. Kackow was hell on the earth.

I find 1 & 2 arresting. But I have a question, is that Wanda Hickey in #7?
I like these a lot. I don't know if people come naturally to you or if you've worked really hard at learning how to capture them or both, but these are great.

These are not candid portraits. Notwithstanding the fact that the subjects are standing in the street rather than in a forest or a studio does not make these what are generally considered street shots. They are posed portraits.
I disagree birchman. And by the way who made him a expert on street. Street can be anywhere. In color or black and white. I had a massive argument with some people on this site, about what is and what isn't "street". I read as many articles as I could find on the subject, I choose to be informed when I debate anything. Trust me your shots are street.
I was impressed by your skill at photographing people. The question of whether they were posed or candid never really occurred to me. I have little ability when it comes to people. I always enjoy the work of those who do.
Very nice images. I think you captured the mood!
