Great shot, very sharp but (there is always a but ) I am not an expert but I think it may be a juvenile Yellow-crowned Night Heron...Nice capture!!!

Wow. Interesting information. Take that to all of us who are afraid of high ISO numbers. You may have already provided this, but what were the other settings? I see a lot of test shots at high ISO numbers at different settings. Did you bracket the photo?

Taken with a Nikon D500. NO, I did not bracket this shot and the settings are in an attachment. This is the original G1 version of the lens.
