All those shots are done with SX60HS... do I really need DX10IV or I just have severe case of GAS ? Would Sony help me with BIF or I should dream about DSLR ?

You seem to be doing very well with what you have, going by the shots you've posted. IMO.

I dunno Man, these look pretty good with the Canon. For the cost of the Sony RX10V, you could get a Fujifilm XT-2 with a 18-55 kit lens and have the ability to GAS a nice lens collection.

These are beautiful shots! PM "joer", because he just shifted away from a Nikon 850 to Sony products. He is a great bird photographer and can probably help you.

Thank you All for your quick and valuable response. I am not in rush to spend $$ so I am cautious with my decision...

The SX60HS is a super zoom and to match its focal range with a DSLR, you will need to spend big bucks on telephoto lenses, and still not match the SX60HS. A DSLR will have a larger sensor and a lens for the DSLR will be a higher quality lens but for the $400 the SX60HS costs, it's hard to beat in its cost category.

These look great. Do you recall your zoom distance on these?

Thank you rmorrison for talking to"my senses". Yes, I knew it all...I just needed to hear it again!

I checked on "properties" to be accurate:

1. 247.0mm (this is 1365mm - full zoom)
2. 247.0mm
3. 247.0mm
4. 86.6mm
5. 132.7mm
6. 19.9mm
7. 59.1mm

and "the eyeball" was 247.0mm

I hope it helps!

As you can see from my signature line I've got a decent collection of toys and I have all the lenses I need to make good use of those toys. One of my favorite, just having fun, cameras is my SX60HS because it is capable of pretty good images and it's fairly small and light.
If I'm going for hi res sharp detailed images then I break out the high dollar stuff but for casual pics the SX60HS does a pretty darn good job.
To get similar zoom/image I'd need to put a $2000 lens with a $450 teleconverter on a $3600 body and still crop a little.
