Just a intro log to let you know I'm new to UH. I really enjoy reading all the input form you more experienced folks. I have taken pictures for a long time but am just starting to get serious about detailed picture taking.
Most everything has been self taught by trial and error, but now I'm taking a photo class and trying to learn Lightroom (where I have dabbled in the recent past) and Photoshop (which I never have tried) and am still trying to figure out whether my Nikon D750 is as good as the Nikon D850 or Canon D2 Mark 4 for the majority of what I do and will do. I only have 1 lens--the 24-120 that came with the camera and it lacks reach. The last thing I want is to have 3-5 lenses that I'm always changing since the glass is expensive and heavy to carry around
.
A friend of mine just bought the Sony RX 10 IV, and has taken some stunning pics using all focal lengths out to it's max 600 mm. He has blown some of them up in to 11 x 14 and a few bigger and they look excellent in detail, color, etc.
Hope to get help from all you as we go down the path of better picture taking!!

Welcome to the forum. Fire away with questions an your images.
Welcome! I also have that camera and lens, my first FX, which I just bought last month. Sometimes for extra "reach", I put the image size setting to DX, (APS-C), and it seems closer to 200mm than 120mm. I don't have any other AF telephotos for it, but I do have a 300 f2.8, and a 1,000mm mirror lens I used during my film days with my F3. I've thought about getting a 28-300 (longer/slower), for the sake of convenience when outdoor shooting, and using the 24-120 (faster/wider) for indoor shooting. That way, I'm not changing lenses all the time, and have the best of both worlds.
Welcome to the Hog, enjoy.
