In my humble opinion it is GAS. Your D750 from what I know and I have used one, is a great tool.
Your images are not going to be better, using the same lens, shooting with one or the other.

The question is not whether you should buy another camera but why you would ask for affirmation from a group of people you do not really know. I have and play 8 guitars that have not made me any better a musician. I like guitars. My wife endulges me. We can afford the cost. I never asked anyone for permission or advice (other than my wife).
Somewhere along the way I realized that “more” was neither making me better or happier. I pretty much now buy things that I justify by need.

I have only the Nikon Df and I am OK with that. The D3 was the first Nikon DSLR I considered buying. I didn't want to pay the price back then.

If you feel like buying one and can afford to splurge on a 10 year old model with half the resolution of either of the cameras you have now... why not?
Will it be a "good investment"? Probably not. Digital cameras depreciate rapidly, though a pro-grade one like D3s might do so at a slightly slower rate.
D3s sold originally new for about $5200. They are now selling on eBay for around $1000 to $1200 (some a bit higher, some a bit lower). That's approx. 75% to 80% depreciation.
I don't know if Nikon will still repair them, either. You might check, just in case. Even if they do, eventually they will no longer support the camera and parts won't be available. When that happens, it will probably accelerate depreciation.

Ask yourself: "How many images am I making that I could make better with a D3?" If there is a reply of "none", save your money and enjoy photography. Many are afflicted with GAS but I think that is not a factor for a satisfied photographer.

I would respectfully disagree with Gene here @ the D5 as I believe it is a quantum leap over both the D3s and the D4s. The dedicated processor for focus is a BIG leap forward, as is Group Focus (also found on the D4s). For my work, sports, it was an easy decision and well worth the investment. Never has a D3s (I did own a D3) but I would agree with Gene on that issue! Best of luck.

I am also a musician, and have 12 guitars. Do I need them all? No. Do I enjoy them all? Yes. Do what's good for your soul, not necessarily what's good for your your wallet or your technical needs...

There is no correct answer. I think You should consider if You have the $ to splurge on another camera. After all people, how many cars do automobile collectors have that have the $ to afford them?

Meaning absolutely no disrespect to you, my personal feeling is, if you want a D3s or a D4 or a D5, whatever, just go buy one. They are exceptional cameras whether you have 20 other cameras. I know others, as usual, will ask why you want one, what will it do that your present cameras won’t do, and so on. Not bad questions mind you but it is your money. The only question, in my mind, you might ask, is how is the quality of the D3s, is it STILL a great camera. If the answer(s) is yes, then I would shop around for the best one at the best price and enjoy using it.
