Took a walk trying out a lens, mostly flowers, when I found myself walking home well beyond sunset. I eat here occasionally and walk by it almost every day without giving it a second glance, but on this night it caught my attention.
I like it! Sharp, eye catching color and a nice exposure. Besides all the foregoing, I'm from Michigan and I've been to Houghton but only once.
Thanks! I have been below the “Mighty Mac” only a few times more than you’ve been to Houghton. That is going to change as my daughter, Son-in-Law and grandkids are moving from Iowa to Livonia in a month.
I've eaten there too. Several times. Good food. My daughter lives across the bridge in Hancock, and we visit every spring.

Next time you’re up PM me and I can steer you to some nice photo ops.
I missed Spring this year; I think I was out of town that day!
My daughter and family live in Hancock, and we are out there every spring (late May, early June). Would like to take you up on the offer to contact you when we are there. What is the best way to contact you?
I live in Maryland, but we go to my daughter's every spring. She has 5 kids and her husband is out of town for a week grading Advanced Placement Tests that prospective students take to get advanced placement in mathematics.
If you are ever out this way, contact me and maybe we can find some interesting places to photograph. My contact information is:

Nice capture! Hope you have survived the flooding ok. I'm going up to Copper Harbor in August. Parents were born in UP and I spent many summers up there growing up. Haven't been back in a long time. And never alone with my photo kit. Looking forward to it!
Re Copper Harbor. This big storm was below them so no flooding. Their big storm was last Fall....70 mph winds, trees snapped off. The Hunter’s Point Trail was still not open a month ago, but likely is now. Bring lots of Deepwoods Off!
