Top O’ Haytor Rock, Dartmoor

I’ve not been up Haytor before so this morning was a great experience for this old man - made better by having the company of my daughter.
The Victorians kindly carved steps to help old geezers on their way - just one spot where a small bridge would have assisted further, but they couldn’t run to that!
The weather this week is just too good - Flaming June lives up to its name at last - but not ideal for photos! This from my iPhone - what do you reckon?

I reckon it’s a pretty good shot.

Fun! No fill flash on the cell camera, though, I guess

Not that I know about Linda - but I got a shot with my camera too, so that should be OK when I get to download. I’ll post a shot of the tor as well when I’m home.

One, it looks like a nice photo. Secondly, it certainly seemed like a grand time.

That's a lot detail its captured in the rock just below where your daughter is sitting! As phone camera's go, is it anything special?

My 1st thought was "you would never get me up there", then I looked closer and could see you added to the illusion of height with the camera angle. Good job! I would like to see the final product from the camera.

No, it’s just an Apple 5S John. Wife keeps telling me to get one like hers - now that does have a decent camera, but at the price she paid I should hope so! I’m not into phone photos so I’ll stick with my old’n a while longer. I only took this one so I could send it to son-in-law - a real outside man who had to stay home studying!

I’ll post the ‘proper’ shot when I get home, with a couple that show the height of the rock. I’m not sure how high it is but, sadly, people have killed themselves jumping off.
Thanks for commenting Gilbert, it’s appreciated.
