Harassing hyenas!

This image is one from our recent wildlife photo safari to the Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Amboseli NP. The male lion had been dining on a warthog and handed it off to his lioness...six hyenas moved in and harassed her and managed to steal what was left....such is 'life in the wild'.

Wow! Great capture! I noticed when I was on a Safari in Amboseli NP last summer, the hyenas are never far from where the lions are. Apparently, they are always waiting for an opportunity to finish off the remnants of the lion's meal.

The worst part being that it was probably the lioness who made the kill in the first place !?

Great looking photo. I can't remember what that other animal is but I like the way they are looking at him....Rich
