Bluetooth/Snapbridge issues

I have a D 3400 Nikon. Bluetooth has functioned with no problems. Last week I added Snapbridge to Ipad for use in trip for fall. App wouldn't pair with the camera and now the Bluetooth doesn't work. Message reads. "This option is not available at current settings or in the camera's current state". Camera functions just fine, otherwise. Any one else had this problem? Suggestions for fix? Thanks

Have you updated the firmware? Apple doesn't play well with others and Nikon issued a firmware update specifically to address the Apple conflict.

Snapbridge sucks, plain and simple. Save yourself grief and get the Apple SD card to Lightning dongle and load images onto your iPad.

Two good pieces of different advice give above. I suggest you pursue both. And FYI, the download speed of the wireless is a fraction of what you get when using the dongle.

Thanks. I think your description of Snapbridge is apt. The reason for even trying this is to have "back up" for images when I hike Hadrian's Wall in September. I wouldn't anticipate having problems with memory cards, but you never know. Will look into your suggestion.

I've almost given up with Snapbridge. I've maybe got it working a couple of times, and a third time with bugs. I've tried many more times and the camera won't connect to my iPhone or iPad. Sadly I don't think you're alone. I don't have an up to date android device to test, and I'm not sure if the problem is any better on either platform.

Android is the same. You cannot transfer raw images to snapbridge on an Android. It just says no images available.
