Yes, Time is dishonest and it doubles down on its lies; "fake but accurate." And it's not even accurate. That little girl was crying because she was tired, hungry and thirsty. Her mother put her through unbelievable dangers, taking her from he home and family in Honduras, leaving her father and three other children behind, paying $6,000 to a coyote to get into the USA illegally. Since she had already been caught and deported some years back, that was the only way she could enter the USA. She used her daughter as a pawn to try to get in.

That's the real story and the Time ignores it, because it doesn't fit the narrative.

As to ignorance, I feel you are making a customary pedantic distinction.... fine, most of us know you are far more demanding of others than you are of yourself. The net impact is Time admitted that cover was a bit misleading. Their intent was to exemplify the impact of the disastrous family decisions made by Trump…. I don't give a damn that the woman used a child to help gain asylum; Trump is doing far worse using that same child as a ransom tool to get funding. What I do give a damn about is the welfare of that innocent child. Whether you or anyone else is willing to admit, those children as suffering great harm; the lack of compassion for their plight is hateful. It isn't just the "libs" saying that, it is the entire world.... the whole world is watching our actions and we have lost the moral highground.

By the way, Trump is continuing the children's crisis by not providing clear direction to the problem resolution. He has reversed his direction to his subordinates a number of times since stopping the separations of new illegals being detained. It is reported by "fake news" there was a very heated meeting in which he intensely criticized his staff sycophants when they sought clarification of his directions.

You paint me as a liberal but I am not as I've repeatedly stated, I voted Republican but not for Trump. I voted my conscience; I could not vote for either of the terrible choices so I wrote-in a Romney/Huntsman ticket. What I am is a conservation Republican, not a closet anarchist as I find Trump and his supporters to be. I agree with George Will; it is no longer the Republican party. It is now the party of Trump and Congress beginning with O'Connell and Ryan, are his kowtowing, spineless toadies. Finally, the behavior of some posters here is what I expect of guttersnipes with a keyboard who are getting a chance to act out without any accountability. It disgusts me.
