No loss, although I will miss your blurry images, your unprovoked attacks on others, and your colorful use of italics and bold face.

Does your dog hate you too? Or just your wife, family, and strangers on the Internet? No loss...

Buh bye. Maybe look up "projection" in the DSM? The sixth edition is out...

Peace, I hope you find it...

OY VEY!

Keep it up!

My apologies to you, aschweik if I've played a part in derailing your thread. Your question was entirely legit. Sorry there isn't a better answer!

And, to whom were you addressing your comment?!?

Do we need to bring geneology, ethnicity, or religion into this?

Sorry this got dragged into the murk by the superior ones. No, you can't be expected to remember which lens, at which focal length, was responsible for each shot. I am at the CRS (Can't Remember Stuff) age, and that's why I do the "shoot the card" routine when I'm testing out new equipment. It's a pretty good habit to adopt, IMHO.

And you made a SCORE! for those lenses and body at that price. I'm not familiar with that particular model, but I love shooting film for fun, and the scanned film images make a great base for PP.

Rockin' the emulsion!

I agree with Andy. You certainly scored. The Maxxum 7000 was a great camera when it came out. The only thing it was missing was a spot meter. The A mount lenses will fit the Sony Alpha series cameras. The only full frame model available is the SLT-A99 (used) or SLT-A99ii. Not inexpensive by a long shot but outstanding cameras. There are also a couple of APS-C models that can be purchased much more reasonably. Enjoy it.

I speak very little German. My husband speaks some and he translated for me. :) And, Longshadow is correct, aschweik is my screen name and is just a variation on my first and last name. I would love to learn more German. I've been to Germany several times and love it. Beer for breakfast? Excellent. :)

Thanks, nicksr1125! There might be a Sony in my future!

Cool!
I took German in high school, forgot most of it from lack of use.

I just looked on B&H's website. They list a couple APS-C bodies for under $200.00 that will work with your lenses. The main reason I carry a Sony body is I started with a Maxxum 7000i (it had a spot meter) and the A mount. I purchased an A100 body when I switched to digital so I didn't have to buy new lenses. Never looked back.

In a workshop held by nature photographer John Shaw, that I attended in Orlando, Central Florida a few years ago, I saw a group of prints that he had for sale. Interesting enough he explained to those present that among those prints there were prints made from digital files and prints made from film. Can you tell which one was made from film and which one from digital? I did not open my mouth but I could recognize one of the prints he made from a Nikon F3 simply because I have seen it in one of his books. NOBODY there could tell which one was from film and which one from digital files.

An interesting point, but wasn't the topic about which lens was used with film cameras? Prints have no metadata embeded in them normally, neither do film negatives.
