I guess they didn't want to be known as the competition to Charmin. So they tried to wipe it off but instead they just smeared it all over their face. But as one person said if you throw enough sh-- against the wall some of it is bound to stick.

Real or not real the photograph [manufactured image in this case] is a message that in too many instances is real. It says that Trump did not consider the children to be real human beings...just tools. When dealing with decisions it is a chess game, one move makes many possible future consequences. The playing of chess based on impulse not thinking ahead will probably lead to loosing the game.
It is difficult to unscramble eggs... it may be very very difficult to find the parent child paring... or it may be that if you were separated from a 7 year old boy child... OK we will give you a 7 year old boy... perhaps not the one that was your child...
Again the image is to give a message... who the child is does not mater, the message is the image statement ... statement that children are real and the president does not realize or care.

So Time Magazine did the same thing with Obama with separating children and in some cases placed immigrant children with human traffickers? Not sure if I saw that image cover.

You would be singing a totally different tune if they did this same image and story with Obama. But in all fairness, many Republicans with sing a different tune as well if that were the case.
