Or, they're trying to escape from horrendous conditions in their own country, trying to survive. They are NOT educated in our tax laws, just trying to get a free lunch, most of them are trying to survive. Cute but wholly unrealistic. A propaganda piece "justifying" the idea that the rich shouldn't be taxed because they're rich and therefor if we don't placate them they will … You fill in the blank. In reality the top three guys hire lawyer/accountants that make sure they get a free six pack, the bottom four get to share a beer, and the middle guys get to pay a third of the bill with the remainder going on an IOU for the grandchildren! Sorry but I won't be following the responses to this one

So their country does not give them enough support to survive; I have to assume that is what you meant by "escape from horrendous conditions in their own country". Horrendous because no roof over their head, no food on the table, no education, no work, at least not a fair wage, no welfare, no clothing allowance and many etcs..
If they are coming here, that looks like welfare and bennies to me, because they will get housing, food, education, (still not required to work), clothing allowance, telephones, money in their pocket. Things they only dreamed about in their own country and all supplied by the government aka the people aka ME! Why wouldn't they come for free things under those circumstances.
Oh, lets not forget how they are in danger from gangs, and corrupt governments. Our government is corrupt so there is no advantage there. Gangs exist here so no change there either.
That leaves us with welfare and benefits or as you said free lunch!

It amazes me how liberals seem to think everything is suppose to be split evenly in their world and not having to work for it. That method has been tried time and again and every time it has failed miserably. Utopias do not survive.
There is absolutely nothing in this world that is free. Someone has to do something to get benefits out of everything.
Air is not free. You have to struggle to get it inside your body so your body can use it.

Then we are mean for not giving him something to his standard. He is absolutely not grateful for a meal on the table, but demands steak!
Other old sayings are also around like:"give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." Notice how he is to learn to do for himself!
It's one thing to give a man a hand up, another to be hounded by that man to do it for his entire life while he sits on his ass and laughs at you for working so hard to provide for him. What the liberals want is for those who strive to do better in life for themselves to also work for the goldbrickers. It seems their numbers just keep rising. Why not. Why work when you get it for free.
There is another old saying "Necessity is the mother of invention. " If a man is hungry, he will learn to fill his stomach or he will parish. Him living, is at his own two hand, not in another's hand. If he wants to survive, he will eventually have to work at it to continue to survive, and he will.
Continuously helping someone just makes them lazy and doesn't help them at all.
