I discovered them several years ago.
I love them.
Making them can be very addictive.
Thanks for sharing.

You are not the first to post fractals here Wuligal, we get overwhelmed with birds and flowers, why not fractals?

Thanks - now I have to be careful I don't overwhelm UHH with Fractals.

I'm not sure if the display of fractal creations are permitted on UHH. If I've violated a rule please tell me - and I apologize. If it is not an issue please enjoy.

Love fractals. Love these. Last one is my favorite.

I love them, thank you. If you search the Web for "BBC Basic, Fractals" you find a lot of info, also about Mandelbrot sets which produce interesting drawings. If you can get your hands on some old BBC literature you will find a number of programs in which you can vary the parameters. Better still find an old BBC computer at a giveaway price. Had lots of enjoyment demonstrating the "new advanced technology" in the late 1970's. Have Fun!

Thanks for the info, I'm not too sure about that "vintage computer" thing but I certainly will look up BBC Basic Fractals.

Very sweet. I see a bird in the top one and they are all excellent. I am not familiar with this would you mind explaining. I would appreciate it.

Thanks Jim

I guess you can call it abstract art because once the fractal is created it can be totally reconstructed in photoshop. That's what happened in the first image.

Thanks for your interest. You can get a technical explanation at fractalfoundation.org. As for the bird.....it was a fractal that I manipulated in Photoshop. Every single pixel is computer generated from blindly pointing and clicking. The texture and and color of the background was the only thing over which I had any control. I'm told there are people that understand the algorithms of fractals but I'm not one of them. You can pick up a free app on line. Give it a try, it's a lot of fun. No rules, no right or wrong and if you don't like what you see on the screen just click another arrow.....oh the surprises there!

Yes, I too find a special beauty in fractals. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
