If it is not the Card Reader, get rid of the Card.

It would probably be best to replace the card. You certainly don't want to attempt an image transfer only to find the card totally unreadable. SD cards are relatively cheap, it's not worth the risk.
Good advice and I totally agree. I would not chance loosing important images over an SD card. You will always have doubts about loosing photos.
Memory cards do not come camera specific and are formatted, for computer use. You do not buy memory cards, by camera brand, You
buy them according to physical size for your particular camera. When you stick it in the camera the camera puts it's information and or
necessary files on the card. People cannot understand this basic principal. It makes no difference. The camera is gonna do what it do.

I have a Lexar 32GB SD card and often when I put it in the card reader and connect to Windows 10 PC Windows asked me to let it check and repair the card. I formatted the card in the camera but then it still do that. Several timers already I wonder something is wrong with the card. Should I get rid of the card?
If possible, send it back for a refund, get a 32gb Sandisk Card, so far I have had great success with Sandisk, although Nothing is perfect, for sure!
I get that message all the time on my Windows computer with my USB flash drives, too. I would not worry about it unless you are having a problem with getting photos from it afterward. That does not mean that it may not have a problem, but Windows tends to do that for all external storage pieces that are not built into the system. Just be careful, and have a spare SD card handy just in case. I do. Just my 2 cents worth with computer experience.

But what if it is the computer's usb driver at fault? All possibilities must be considered before getting rid of anything; it's the smart thing to do.
