My wife and I are heading to Montreal in a couple of weeks and will be driving across eastern Canada to Prince Edward Island and then down the coast of Maine to Portland. Any suggestions for good photo opportunities along our route would be welcome. Thanks.

Montreal Botanic Gardens, Cadillac Mountain in Maine.
Do a search on here. There was a similar request just a week or two ago with many excellent responses.

63 (count 'em) Lighthouses along the Maine coast. Jordan Pond in Acadia NP (stop for pop-overs and tea). Visitor center in Sommesville.

Also consider in Maine, Jordan Pond is a must-see if you are in Acadia National Park. Jordan Pond is one of the best places to catch a sunset in Acadia, and is a great stargazing location after the sun goes down. The shoreline of the pond offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forests.
Get off the highway and take the back roads.
Make sure you take a good wide angle lens(es)

Any suggestions???? This question is like walking into a great bakery and asking if they have anything good!!! Everywhere from PEI, around Cape Bretton and coastal Nova Scotia to Peggy's Cove, and the coast of Maine will give awesome photo opportunities. I just hope you have time to truly enjoy these places. Where will you cross back over from Canada to the US?

Cape Bretton,Toro tidal bore,Peggy's Cove, Halifax are all good places.
Don’t miss the charm and history of Lunenberg or the lighthouse at Peggy’s Cove.
In no particular order: St Andrews, New Brunswick. High tea at the Queen Elizabeth in Montreal. White Point in Nova Scotia. The Bras d’Or region in Nova Scotia. Obviously, Cape Breton, Antigonish, NS. Lubeque, ME (-5 for spelling) Campobello. Portland Head Light, Pemaquid Point Light, Cavendish, PEI... I could go on and on! Lucky you!
On PEI, there is the Home of Anne of Green Gables. There is a fee, but it is a must place to visit and photograph. The bridge toll was $70 (pay once when you leave).
The East Coast of Nova Scotia, particularly Peggy's cove.
On N.S. outside of Lunenberg are theOvens and the Blue Rocks.Ask around
