My Dad had a 53 Pontiac sedan, dark blue with a straight 8. It was big enough to put all 4 of us siblings in the back seat with room to spare! The grill on this nice wagon looks like a 1950 grill, though.

You're absolutely right! But... I'm thinking 1953 was the last year of two-piece windshields so, the car is prior to that. That's also no help. I'm leaning toward 1951... my brother had a '53, I have a '56 and scrounging parts off each other caused us to examine quite a few Chevy/Pontiac/Buick wrecking yards...
