I just got fascinated with the dead trees I was seeing on my recent trip so I started photographing them.
I love the snags (dead trees). Everyone thinks they are useless and ugly but are homes for birds and insects. They are beautiful with their twists and shapes. I take images anywhere I find them.
Very nice image. Well composed with nice color.
I am very careful which dead trees I cut for firewood. The woodpeckers get first shot at the trees until their bark falls off and then they're mine. Some, like yours, can be very nice.
The roots of uprooted trees are really my favs. All the twists and convolution are mesmerizing.
I like this image a lot, the colors, the composition, the form of the tree. Good job. I love trees in all their iterations. I like root formations . There is one tree near my house, whose roots I can stare at forever.
Did anyone notice the "Red, White, & Blue"? I thought the colors were an extra plus!
