Getting a little more time to work with my Bronica SQ and a new close focus lens. This was also a test to see if the film stock I had frozen for more than a decade was still worth the effort. This shot was handheld, 1/250, f4, as read by my Zone VI Pentax spotmeter & the highest readings on the flower placed in Zone VII. I guess you could say my sensor is 2-1/4 x 2-1/4 inches. (LOL)

As soon as I can get my tripods out of storage, I'll be able to get MUCH sharper images.

How much sharper can you get? This looks fine to me.

Instead of shooting wide open with a relatively fast shutter speed, I can close down, slow down work on better focus points. The SQ is a little hard to hold still at slow shutter speeds and being able to use my cable release with mirror lockup would be a bonus. Thanks.

I am assuming then that a frozen film at ten years of age works pretty well??

I found that film that had been frozen for 22 years was pretty foggy when developed. The film that I shot this photo with expired in 2003. I shot it just to see if it was still viable & I guess it is. Have about 9 rolls left but think I'm going to throw it out. I've bought new stock and am not likely to let lay in the freezer for more than a year. I certainly wouldn't want to use that expired film to shoot something important since it's 15 year past its expiration.

If it's been continuously frozen, then it's most likely still good. But, I would certainly take roll & shoot some test shots. The freezer the old film was in was NOT frost free. The cycle of temps in a frost free may be detrimental. If it's well past expiration you might be sorely disappointed.
