Please excuse the softness of #2; but you have to grab the shot when its staring you in the face, so to speak.
The first one is pretty interesting.
I rather like the second one--the intensity of her expression.

Thank you Voss, my thoughts exactly. This is one time I outran the lens AF, but if I had waited this would have been gone.

Thank you jaymatt, I caught her in mid conversation.

Some might call that "Inconsiderate Interruption". The dreaded "I. I.".
But, hey, the shot is great.

Thank you Stephan G. I don't think she ever saw me or the camera and just kept on with her lecture. This is a crop of a ff image with a 200mm lens.
reply I am with Voss on this one.

I am with Voss on this one. I like number 2. It may be soft but it is the subject matter that counts. Street isn't studio photography. You don't have all day to set a shot up. You grab what you can when you can. That is a nice catch.

Thank you dragonfist. I totally agree with both of you. Its part of the thrill of doing this kind of photography.
Nice shots but IMHO more portrait than street. Well done!

I hear you AZNikon and I have somewhat of a unresolved feeling about that as well. So, this is my thinking: The shots are totally candid of people that I have never met and do not know. They are photographed in a public setting with lots of other folks around. I feel that the story I'm trying to convey with these particular photos is best told in focusing on the particulars of these faces.
If you go back and look at the other work I have posted under Street Photography a lot of it involves a central figure in the image. I've just taken this a bit further by cropping out some of the distractions I see in these uncropped images.

I agree. The first image might be debated.
The second is very clearly a portrait and not Street Photography. It is also a fairly nice portrait!
Thanks go to DaveC1 for posting them for discussion.
